ARES and SKYWARN NET Scripts 02/26/2023

SCRIPT: ARES NET

Suggested script for a Net Control Station for the Brown County Thursday 7:30 PM 147.300+ 136.5 P/L NET

Brown County ARES Net Script

CQ Net, CQ Net, CQ Net.  This is “CALLSIGN” with the Brown County A R E S net, which meets every Thursday night at 7:30 p.m. local time on the 147.300 repeater with a 136.5 PL tone.

We value any and all check-ins, and the net is open to all Amateurs Radio operators.

This is a directed net.  Please direct all your input and comments to Net Control. Your Net Control this evening is “CALLSIGN”.  My name is “Your Name” and I am located in “Your Location”.

When checking in please give your callsign phonetically, using the Standard ITU phonetic alphabet, your name and location and indicate if you have any traffic for the net.  There will be a comment section at the end of the net.  Please indicate if you have announcements for the NET.

I will now stand by for anyone with emergency or priority traffic.

Does anyone have any ARES or RACES traffic?

Are there any mobile or short time stations wishing to check in?                                 (WATCH THE CLOCK)

Anyone with NET Announcements before our mobile and short time stations depart?

Check ins with first letter of your suffix Alpha through Foxtrot please come now.

Check ins with first letter of your suffix Golf  through Mike please come now.

Check ins with first letter of your suffix November through Sierra please come now.

Check ins with first letter of your suffix Tango through Zulu please come now.

Stations anywhere in the alphabet Alpha through Zulu please come now.

Thank you for all the check-ins. This is Net Control, “CALLSIGN”                             (WATCH THE CLOCK)

With all traffic handled I would like to thank everyone who checked in or listened for your participation. This has been the Brown County weekly ARES net, which meets every Thursday night at 7:30 PM local time on this Brown County 2 meter repeater.

I will pause one last time for any late check-ins for tonight’s net.

There were ____ stations who checked in tonight and the net lasted ____ minutes

This is Net Control, “CALLSIGN” let’s go through the check ins and see if anyone has any comments:

Proceed through the non-short time check ins to get comment

This is “CALLSIGN”  I will now close the net, and return the repeater to normal use.
